This week’s woman in news- Sarah Palin “Going Rogue”

Sarah Palin who was in news last  year as political mate of John Maccain in 2009 elections is back again with new look and new confidence. As we all knwo media can be friend as well as foe, when Sarah first faced the media last year the stars were not really with her, and she got lot of negative publicity.  But if we see her this time on the launch of her new book we see a new Sarah, or we can say she now knows how to handle US media.

1. What will be her next step on newsweek showing her on cover page?

But what to do with scenarios like Newsweek using her picture without proper  approval. Se below a quote from sfgate

On the cover of this week’s issue of Newsweek is a photo that was shot exclusively for the August 2009 issue of Runner’s World, in which Sarah Palin was featured on the monthly “I’m a Runner” back page. The photos from that shoot are still under a one-year embargo, and Runner’s World did not provide Newsweek with its cover image. It was provided to Newsweek by the photographer’s stock agency, without Runner;s World’s knowledge or permission.

2. Her response to Fox news where on showing last years footage?

Fox news though they did make a public apology for showing wrong video, but is that just a coincidence when she is news again or Fox being biased. I am sure experts are analyzing this Fox’s production error, but still I would be more interested in looking at Sarah’s reaction on this.

I think the case like above are the litmus test for Palin, and her reaction to these situation will prove how much she is really prepared to meet with media now. So her preparation should not be only for predicted media touchpoints but also for unpredicted touch points like these.
